This year I decided to make it official and offer my years of experience as a songwriter and producer to other musicians looking to take their art to the next level. Whether you are a seasoned professional artist or if you are an indie musician trying to figure out how to earn an income from doing what you’re passionate about, I want to help you!
I started as an indie artist in 2004 and worked hard to figure out how to record my own music on a multitrack recorder. From the day I started college to present day I have been involved in the creative aspects of my career- even after I signed my first record deal. To this day I write and produce (record) most of my music. I take my own photos, build my own lyric videos, sometimes do my own album artwork, and at times have even directed and shot my own music videos… Crazy right? I am a self starter but even with all of that I do believe in the power of help and building community within the music industry. I don’t always do those things on my own and often times it is actually better to collaborate with others. When we work together it lifts the music industry community up as a whole. I understand sometimes that’s just not feasible. If you are an indie artist you don’t have an endless amount of money in your checking account. I’ve been there, I know.
